This place is remarkable! My husband and I stopped by because we’re currently working in Durham and were looking for a good place to eat. We’re so glad we found this spot! I ordered the Chicken Cutlet Fisocca, and my husband got the Chopped Cheese both were absolutely incredible. Easily a 20/10! The flavors were amazing, the sandwiches were fresh, and the portions were perfect. We live in Garner, NC, but we’ll gladly make the drive back just for these sandwiches. If you’re looking for one of the best sandwich spots around, this place is a must try. Highly recommend!

Excellent sandwiches. 10/10. There is no seating, so when I got my sandwiches I walked 1 min to Pinheiro - Vinho e Vida, Portuguese wine bar to grab a glass and eat my sandwiches! Worth a drive from out of town and worth a wait outside in the heat (about 30 minutes on Thurs at noon). The Uncle Primo (chicken cutlet) sandwich was incredible. Also got the mozzarella and prosciutto sandwich (pictured below). Prosciutto and mozzarella stacked HIGH with balsamic glaze. So so good. Grabbed some frozen lasagna to take home and bake.

Hands down the best sandwich in the city or perhaps even the south! I've tried several sandwiches from Ideal's and every single one has been incredibly flavorful and yummy. Definitely recommending Uncle Primo's on focaccia for the first-timers — it never disappoints. The sandwich portions are huge, it can easily be 2+ meals. I always forget to take a picture because I can't wait to dig in 😂 I'm also so soooo happy to hear that they have extended their opening hours!! I can finally go after my shift to satisfy my sandwich cravings so much easier!🤍

Got the chicken cutlet rabe & cheese on focaccia bread, totaled to $20. Def enough to split with a friend! It was well built sandwich, the cutlet was thin and crispy as well as the bread!! It wasn’t soggy which I really appreciated. Service was super good too, my order got messed up and they remade it no questions. Do beware of the line! It does go quickly and they have water out.

Easily the best sandwich in the City, region, state or even my life. I got the uncle primo and spouse got the roasted turkey. Expect a very long wait and to eat in your vehicle or “take out” but you cannot go wrong with either of those options. The fresh chips were also quite delectable!
